For the first time, Finn (John Boyega) has something to fight for, in the newly released TV spot “Heroes” for Star Wars: The Last Jedi which may be viewed at http://youtu.be/znKxu09P_H8.

In the new footage, Finn wakes up, and we hear his first words. Or rather, word. And he’s picking up where he left off.

We see Finn come out of his coma following The Force Awakens, shouting “Rey!”, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) talking with Finn and pulling off some daring maneuvers in his X-wing, Rey (Daisy Ridley) on Ahch-To with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hammill), and more. It’s an exhilarating peek at the movie, showing the challenges facing our heroes.

In Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Skywalker saga continues as the heroes of The Force Awakens join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past.

The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro.

In Philippine cinemas December 13, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is distributed by the Walt Disney Company (Philippines).

Movies: Oprah Leads Voice Cast Of Quirky Camels In “The Star”

No less than legendary Queen of Talk and humanitarian Oprah Winfrey leads the voice actors of not-so-wise camels in Sony Pictures Animation's The Star, a family film about the events leading up to the very first Christmas.

Tyler Perry (Gone Girl) lends voice to Cyrus, the know-it-all camel, Felix (Tracy Morgan) is not sure if he knows anything, and Deborah (Winfrey) is the one actually paying attention. These three will do more than just carry the Wise Men.

“Watching this cast work was really inspiring. The thing that really surprised me was how each of these artists approached their particular roles,” says director Timothy Reckart. Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, and Tracy Morgan all became the perfect counterpoints to each other as the camels – Tyler as the self-appointed leader who thinks he’s smarter than he actually is; Tracy as his belligerent, hilarious brother; and Oprah as the wise camel who is the only one who may actually see what’s going on.

You Can Never Go Wrong With Sodexo: My Most Rewarding Experience With Sodexo

I have been working in the BPO industry since 2009 and rewards for good performance and targets met are nothing new. Now, printed certificates may be appreciated but the real fun happens when Sodexo Gift Certificates are given!

I remember, I was just a new graduate back in 2009 and in my first Call Center job, I was given Sodexo certificates from work. During that time (and boy was that a long time ago) I was the family's bread winner. All my take home pay went to house expenses, so having a little extra to buy groceries was really a big deal.

I always feel this sense of pride whenever I can help my family in any way that I can, especially during the times when we were really in need. I look back at those trying years with a humble reflection and a grateful heart and I would say that using those Sodexo GCs in order to buy groceries for my family was my most rewarding experience with Sodexo.

Can I also add that receiving Sodexo gift certificates have never been a problem since they have always been and forever will be valid, and that revalidation and replacement of Sodexo GCs are FREE of charge once the validity date is reached!

Not only can you use your Sodexo GC's for groceries but for a lot of different things as well You can check out their list of merchants here

If you are looking to gift Sodexo GCs to your loved ones (especially with the holidays coming) you can purchase them here. You never know that GC may be the key to a sumptuous Noche Buena!

Movies: Gibson & Wahlberg: Like Father, Like Son In “Daddy's Home 2”

Mel Gibson plays Kurt, the alpha male father of Mark Wahlberg's character, in Paramount Pictures’ comedy sequel, Daddy’s Home 2 (in Philippine cinemas November 29.)

(Watch the TV spot `Grand-Dads Are Coming at http://youtu.be/j4dMnAPZu70.)

In 2015’s Daddy’s Home, audiences saw sensitive stepdad Brad (Will Ferrell) go to war with badass biological dad Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) for the affections of Dylan, Megan and their mother Sara (Linda Cardellini). Since then, Brad and Dusty have put aside their differences and settled into a working relationship as “co-dads,” but their lives are thrown into chaos with the holiday arrival of their own fathers: over nurturing Don (John Lithgow) and tough-as-nails Kurt (Mel Gibson).

Gibson describes his character: “Kurt’s an astronaut, a hard living, womanizing kind of dude still up to his old tricks even though he’s not a youngster anymore. There’s some fun to be had with the arrested development of this character. He loves his son, but he wasn’t and isn’t the ideal father, and that’s created a pretty dysfunctional relationship.”

Movies: Strong Wave Of Feminism In “Battle Of The Sexes” On December 6 At Ayala Malls Cinemas

It was a match that entered the history books, changing the game for women and men around the world. The highly publicized, much hyped and hugely entertaining “Battle of the Sexes” was one of the most watched sporting events ever. But its impact extended far beyond tennis and the sporting arena. Taking us back 44 years, starring Emma Stone and Steve Carell, helmed by gifted directors, Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris bring the 70s alive with vitality, comedy and poignancy, relating the build-up to the match that was viewed on TV by an unprecedented global audience of 90 million.

The year is 1973 and former champion, Bobby Riggs, is all but forgotten. He is determined to get back into the limelight, make some money and make himself relevant again.  He issues a challenge to Billie Jean King (Stone), proudly and controversially proclaiming himself to be a male chauvinistic pig, while insisting that no female tennis player will ever be able to beat him. The 55 year-old tennis player, a hustler and loud showman, (Carell) asserts that women belong in ‘the bedroom and the kitchen.’ The 29 year-old tennis star takes Riggs up on the challenge.

The “Battle of the Sexes” becomes the arena for a greater battle for equal rights and women’s pay. To put the era in perspective, despite massive accomplishments by women, along with the presence of an increasingly influential feminist movement, it is still a man’s world – at least as far as equal rights and prevailing attitudes are concerned. Billie Jean King is fighting for women to receive the same fees that men get in Grand Slam tournaments. The match turns attention to inequality in every area of work and life. Played out in the glare of TV cameras and newspapers around the world, the run-up to the match reaches fever pitch. Women who are incensed by Riggs, rally behind the pioneering King, and at the other end of the spectrum, the battle exacerbates entrenched sexist attitudes. In a clever ploy to capitalize on the controversy, Riggs turns the match into a circus!

Movies: Andrew Garfield True-To-Life Role Of Polio-Stricken Adventurer In “Breathe”

Taking his hero role a notch higher, Andrew Garfield champions the severely disabled in his latest sweeping romantic film opposite Claire Foy in “Breathe” – the true story of a couple truly in love as they refuse to be imprisoned amidst a devastating disease, dazzling others with their humour, courage and lust for life. “Breathe” is a heart-warming and highly emotional celebration of bravery and human possibility, a love story about living every breath as though it’s your last.

“Breathe” producer Jonathan Cavendish had always believed that his father’s life story would be powerful material for a compelling film. Robin Cavendish (Garfield) had been a trailblazer, a remarkable, larger-than-life figure. He was diagnosed with polio in his late 20s and remained paralysed from the neck down. Totally reliant on a respirator that ‘breathed’ for him, he faced a life confined to a hospital bed. Yet he refused to accept that fate: with the help of his wife Diana (Foy), and their inventive and supportive friends, he found a way to live his life in the world, outside of hospital.

The couple’s wanderlust remains as strong as ever. In order for Robin to travel, an old Bedford van is adapted so his wheelchair can fit in the passenger seat. With a new zest for life, he admits he always wanted to see the sun rise over the Mediterranean. Diana organises the trip, including travelling with racehorses aboard a transport plane to carry the family and their van to Spain. Despite a nailbiting incident when the respirator burns out, it’s an idyllic experience for them all.  Having already survived beyond the point his doctors expected, Robin wants to forge ahead and help other severely disabled people. He secures financing for more wheelchairs like his own to be built, and attends a conference in Germany where experts on severe disability are astonished by what he has already achieved.

Movies: Benjamin Bratt Plays Legendary Departed Singer In “Coco”

Most recently seen in the big screen in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange, Benjamin Bratt breathes life to pivotal character, Ernesto dela Cruz, in Disney-Pixar's new comedy adventure Coco.

In the film, despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events.

Ernesto de la Cruz is the most famous musician in the history of Mexico. Revered by fans worldwide until his untimely death, the charming and charismatic musician is even more beloved in the Land of the Dead. “Ernesto de la Cruz’s catchphrase was ‘Seize your moment,’” says director Lee Unkrich. “And Miguel takes that to heart.”

Movies: Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell Take On Co-Parenting In “Daddy's Home 2”

In 2015’s Daddy’s Home, audiences saw sensitive stepdad Brad (Will Ferrell) go to war with badass biological dad Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) for the affections of Dylan, Megan and their mother Sara (Linda Cardellini). Since then, Brad and Dusty have put aside their differences and settled into a working relationship as “co-dads,” but their lives are thrown into chaos with the holiday arrival of their own fathers: over nurturing Don (John Lithgow) and alpha male Kurt (Mel Gibson) in Paramount Pictures’ comedy sequel, Daddy’s Home 2.

Director Sean Anders says, “At the start of the film, we get the sense that Brad and Dusty have been killing themselves to be perfect dads, but they’ve been following Brad’s playbook, which has made Brad a little smug. They’re really making an effort to put their kids first, while harboring a lot of issues between the two of them.”

“I obviously loved working with Mark again,” says Ferrell of his third film with Wahlberg. “It’s nice to know someone well enough that you can hit the ground running, and I loved the idea of picking up and seeing how Brad and Dusty were handling the co-dadding, then adding their fathers into the mix.”

Movies: Book-To-Movie “Wonder” Empowers The Young Against Bullying

Based on the New York Times bestseller, “Wonder” tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of
August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school,  Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie's extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.

“Wonder” stars Academy Award® winner Julia Roberts, Academy Award® nominee Owen Wilson, Izabela Vidovic and Jacob Tremblay. Spread from hand to hand, family to family, the book sold more than 5 million copies, but its impact went deeper as it also sparked a grassroots “Choose Kind” movement and inspired readers to share their own stories. The book soon lured Hollywood attention as well.

Part of the Wonder phenomenon has been empowering young people to more confidently confront the poison of bullying, bigotry and ostracism. “The book has sparked international anti-bullying campaigns,” notes producer Lieberman. “One of the most important things is that the story explores the many different ways people get bullied. Emotional bullying is a big deal to me, and it’s one of the reasons I really responded to the book. Bad behavior has been going on forever, but with social media you now have people treating others unfairly on an even wider spectrum, so the need for these kinds of stories is more timely than ever.”

Of course, he can run—to call him fast is, according to Barry, an oversimplification. To say the least.

(Check out new footage from The Star at http://youtu.be/yzPQ5yuZrL8 and watch the film in Philippine cinemas December 6.)

“It’s the Nativity story from the point of view of the animals, and in this film, we follow Bo, who is the donkey that carries Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem,” explains director Timothy Reckart.

Movies: Find Out Who Wins In “Battle Of The Sexes” At Ayala Malls Cinemas On December 6

In the wake of the sexual revolution and the rise of the women’s movement, the 1973 tennis match between women’s world champion Billie Jean King (played by Emma Stone) and ex-men’s-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs (Steve Carell) was billed as the “Battle of the Sexes” and became one of the most watched televised sports events of all time, reaching 90 million viewers around the world.

As the rivalry between King and Riggs kicked into high gear, off-court each was fighting more personal and complex battles.  The fiercely private King was not only championing for equality, but also struggling to come to terms with her own sexuality, as her friendship with Marilyn Barnett (Andrea Riseborough) developed.  And Riggs, one of the first self-made media-age celebrities, wrestled with his gambling demons, at the expense of his family and wife Priscilla (Elisabeth Shue).  Together, Billie and Bobby served up a cultural spectacle that resonated far beyond the tennis court, sparking discussions in bedrooms and boardrooms that continue to reverberate today.

The build up to the match, the spectacle it became and the quest for equality it continues to inspire all come to life in “Battle of the Sexes.”  Husband-and-wife directorial team Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton (Academy Award winning Little Miss Sunshine) explore a moment when social change was embodied by two complex people.  Dayton and Faris brought together Oscar® winner Emma Stone, in a physically and emotionally demanding role unlike any she’s yet tackled, with Oscar® nominee Steve Carell at his most complicated as self-made media celebrity Bobby Riggs.

Movies: Stellar Cast Of Suspects In “Murder On The Orient Express”

Murder On The Orient Express cast photo
In the most timeless of whodunits, “Murder on the Orient Express” follows renowned detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) as he attempts to solve what would become one of the most infamous crimes in history based on Agatha Christie’s classic and most ingenious novel of the same title.

After a shocking murder of a wealthy businessman on the lavish European train barreling its way west in the dead of winter, private detective Poirot must use every tool of his trade to uncover which of the train’s eclectic passengers is the killer, before he or she strikes again.

More than 80 years after its publishing, Christie’s novel remains beloved by new generations of readers. Kenneth Branagh’s stunning retelling of the beloved mystery with its acclaimed ensemble and breathtaking visuals invites audiences to take the most suspenseful train ride of their lives.  Branagh explains why it was a natural fit for him to direct and play Poirot:  "It felt that there was a way in which those two things were very congruent with one person doing the same job.  Because, crucially, I think, Hercule Poirot is a director.  He directs the characters, and like a director, Poirot intuitively tries to listen to the way in which he can be specific and bespoke about how to create the mood that's required for each interrogation.”

Movies: Gael Garcia Bernal Lends Voice To Trickster Hector In “Coco”

Gaining critical acclaim and a Golden Globe® for best actor in a comedy series for his role in Mozart in the Jungle in 2016, Mexican superstar Gael García Bernal now lends his voice to Héctor, in Disney-Pixar's new comedy adventure Coco.

In the film, Héctor, a charming trickster in the Land of the Dead, enlists aspiring musician Miguel’s (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) help to visit the Land of the Living. “He desperately wants to cross the bridge of marigolds on Día de los Muertos,” says co-director Adrian Molina. “But there's a rule that if no one in the Land of the Living is actively remembering you—if no one has put your photo up on an ofrenda—then there's no one in the Land of the Living to receive you and you cannot cross over.”

Unfortunately, Héctor is not well remembered and it’s taking a toll on him. “He’s in pretty bad shape,” says director Lee Unkrich. “He walks with a limp, his bones are yellowing and loose and jangly. One of his ribs is cracked and he wears a bandage around his left tibia. Even when he walks down the street, he tends to drop his limbs—his hand might fall off unexpectedly and he has to pick it up and stick it back on.”

Movies: Teen Romance Movie “Love, Simon” First Look Reveal Is Big With Feels

20th Century Fox has recently released the first look photos of 2018’s most awaited teen movie “Love, Simon”, directed by Greg Berlanti and based on the YA novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli.

At the heels and feels of the highly successful “The Fault In Our Stars”, the movie that gave the world the most unforgettable teenage love story, “Love, Simon” tells the coming-of-age story of Simon Spier (played by Nick Robinson), who has yet to tell his family and friends that he’s gay and that he’s fallen for an anonymous classmate online.  Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing. “Love, Simon” is a funny and heartfelt story about the thrilling ride of finding yourself and falling in love.

Directed by Greg Berlanti (Riverdale, The Flash), “Love, Simon” also stars Katherine Langford (from 13 Reasons Why), Alexandra Shipp, Jorge Lendeborg, Miles Heizer, Keiynan Lonsdale, Logan Miller, Jennifer Garner, Josh Duhamel, Tony Hale.

“There’s this one section of the film where Simon imagines this one boy and imagines them kissing underneath the mistletoe at Christmas,” says Berlanti in recent interviews. “In every other major studio film, it’s always the guy and the girl. And there was something so powerful about it being just a guy imagining himself with this other guy in a film again that was going to be marketed and sold as a mainstream romantic comedy.”

“Love, Simon” opens May 9, 2018 from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.  Follow 20th Century Fox (Ph) on Facebook,  20thcenturyfoxph on IG and YouTube, @20centuryfox on Twitter.

WWE superstar and Trainwreck scene stealer John Cena plays the antagonist ex-husband, Roger, in Paramount Pictures new comedy Daddy's Home 2.

Movies: Jason Momoa Makes Heroism Cooler In “Justice League”

He catapulted to stardom in HBO's Game of Thrones as Dothraki warlord Khal Drogo. Now, Jason Momoa is one of Hollywood’s most exciting up-and-coming leading men. In Warner Bros. Pictures' Justice League, he reprises the character Aquaman / Arthur Curry who was first seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He again plays the character in the highly anticipated stand-alone feature Aquaman, directed by James Wan, due out in December 2018.

In Justice League, Arthur Curry is a wildcard, holding firm to his belief that a strong man is strongest alone. When Bruce (Ben Affleck) tracks him down in a remote Icelandic fishing village, it’s seems a safe bet that no amount of persuading will induce the Aquaman of lore to forego his solitary good works, or his self-imposed solitude.

In other words, Arthur is not a team player. The offspring of a human father and a royal mother from the legendary underwater city of Atlantis, Arthur has never felt truly at home either on land or at sea. But in the frigid outland he calls home, the man with the wild hair, hulking body, and piercing eyes has discovered some semblance of peace, and he isn’t interested in leaving the fringe community he protects, and that protects his anonymity in return.
