Tamron Goes Wild!

Tamron is a well known 3rd party lens that gives photographers and photo-enthusiasts an option to go for outstanding optics without shelling out loads of cash.  My friends have been shooting with Tamron and all I heard were positive feedback from them.  For more information about their awesome product line and events you can visit and like their FB page, or you can go to their website.

Last September 13, 2014, Tamron had an event were they announced their first image master and held an on the spot photo competition as well.  They've dubbed their 1st  Filipino Image Master- Ricky Ladia.  Me and my wife were planning to go but we were late in registering for the said event, thus it was a no go for the 1st event.

Ricky Ladia is well know photographer in the industry, he has been using Tamron for 15 years.  Sir Ricky has been shooting for more than 20 years and is a force to be reckoned with.  He's well known for his strobist work, and food photography, he teaches often in different photography seminars.

November 15, 2014, La Mesa Eco Park -Tamron Goes Wild, held a photo event  (it's a good thing we were able to register early and attend the event) where there was a macro/nature and bird photo race contest.  It rained throughout the day but that didn't dampen any of the spirits of the participants as they went out with shutters clicking.  It was a tough scenario as light was very very low and rain was falling constantly.

Other than the photo contest there were booths from sponsors namely: Red Ribbon, Digital Walker, Black Rapid, Benro, Hoya, Fuji, and Pentax.  It was quite a surprise as many of the sponsors were dropping their prices for specific products.

Eco Klienne's winning photo for the macro/nature photo contest
At the end of the day winners for the each photo contest were announced. Macro/nature photo contest the winning photo went to, Eco Klienne.  Eco is now a proud owner of Tamron SP 90mm Macro lens
Bird photo race category, was nabbbed by Anthony Balbin. Another happy Tarmon lens owner, specifically, Tamron 150-600mm. To all winners congratulations!

Even if I came straight from work I was still able to enjoy and shoot with my fellow shutter bugs and photo-enthusiast!  Really had a blast, even if I forgot my sd card from the organizers.

Looking forward to more photo events from Tamron! ^_^
