Is it weird that I'm recommending Barbie Almalis' new single "Run for Cover" to download on Amplify.ph when she is actually a second cousin of mine? (My dad and her mom are first cousins) hmm not really, coz the name Barbie Almalbis speaks for itself, she is one of the very few artists who have remained significant in the OPM scene over the years. She's been active in the industry since 1995!
Her cotton candy sweet singing, technical guitar playing and sincere song writing skills have set her apart from other artists who only belt out revivals.
Barbie is coming out with a new album: My New Heart and can I say that I'm loving the cover (in case you didn't know Barbie also paints) her first single off the album Run For Cover is already available for download (FOR FREE!) on Amplify.ph and the great thing about it is that when you download through Amplify.ph you also get to support Barbie in her music at the same time.

The first thing that attracted me to the song was the upbeat tempo. Listening to it, it makes me think of getting ready for a night out, you know playing the song, while your drying your hair, trying on clothes and putting on make up :)
