Paul works in the Ortigas area, so it is no surprise that he takes so many photos here. Whether it is of the high buildings that make up its' urban view, or random people and things in its' streets, it is always interesting to see Ortigas through Paul's eyes.

Some of these photos are also taken in Astoria Plaza- which is also in Ortigas- this was the time when my sister had her bridal shower and classic Paul just takes advantage and shoots. :) 

Stealing Shots

We originally scheduled a shoot for Monday, September 3, 2012. It being Paul's off and since it was US Labor Day meant we both didn't have work in the evening. It's rare for us both to not have any work at the same day so we decided to and spend this day with taking photos. 

We've had a pending photoshoot with our Cosplayer friend Yayi (you can read all about that here) so after agreeing on a time and place we were off for our photoshoot. 

Since we arrived on time (8:00AM) and Yayi  wasn't ready yet we went around to do an ocular inspection and find spots to take some photos.

Aug 18, 2012 - My wife and I came from work, and went out for a few hours and here are some of the photos of our little misadventure on the said date.

My wife has the pink cat in the pot and never thought that mass quantities of cats in pots from Face Shop would catch my attention.  

Bottled Rainbow for the Nails

First 2 photos were shot in Face Shop in SM Megamall.  I couldn't resist not pulliing out my camera to shoot a few images.  Face Shop is a beauty boutique where they sell make up, nail polish, mostly girl stuff and some stuff for men.

Two things, caught my eye in the beauty shop: rows and rows of potted cat(AKA as Mini Pet Floral Hand Cream) and a display case of nail polish.  The 'cat in the pot' I'm quite familiar with it since my wife has one at home, but seeing them in mass quantity, seems like an overdose of 'cuteness'.

An hour or two later we were in front of my wife's family house,  I had too wait for her mom since she'll be driving the car else where.  While waiting I took the liberty of capturing a few photographs.

Getting the exposure right is quite tricky since the outside of the car is mostly lit by the intense sun.  Yeah, I forgot to mention that it was a hot and sunny day.

The following photos were taken on, Aug 15, 2012.  Back then I had shot a photo of candles while the power was out.  Its high time that I revisit that concept and see the difference then and now.  I'll probably have these photos printed to compare the prints.

Apologies for the inactivity of the blog.  We've been busy and we'll make up for it.

Morning walk with my wife(May 21, 2012)

We usually stay up in the evening until the sun comes up. Luckily, there was a solar eclipse due 5:30AM manila time. We couldn't resist and thought that it would be a great opportunity to capture the astronomic phenomenon.

So we went out of the house and went up the street toward a hill  to get a clear view.  Since almost anywhere we went, there's always something blocking our view. 

Morning sun and moon

As the solar eclipse took place, it wasn't obvious since the sun is flaring out, you could barely notice the moon coming in from the left side. I had to choke the light out of the camera to get the moon and sun to show.  This renders everything else under exposed.  I sure hope my camera's sensor is fine.  Normally, I don't point it directly at the sun but, I have too.

I find the photos ok, but not the way I want it to be.  In the end I'm happy that I got to spend some time with my wife and seen an eclipse with her.
