Naruto The Movie: Road to Ninja Premiere

Movie Posters are up!
Paul and I were really excited to be invited to a special advanced screening of Naruto the Movie: Road to Ninja by it's movie distributor, Movie Punch. It's actually the first invite that we got as a blogging entity and it gives that feeling that everything that you've worked hard for is finally paying off. ^_^

The special advanced screening was held in the Director's Club at SM Mall of Asia. It's a really cozy and exclusive venue with only 30 La-Z- boys!

I've personally never seen a movie while reclining comfortably on a La-Z-Boy, so there I was all curled up and all comfy while watching the movie!
In order not to spoil the movie for those of you who are planning to catch in theaters and I'm telling you that you should! I will have a separate blog post about my Movie Musings (movie review) and this would mostly focus on the special advanced screening.

First time, and it was awesome!
The special advanced screening was also attended by other bloggers and well renowned cosplayer Jin Joson and Marien Jose were present and cosplayed as Minato Namikaze and Tsunade Senju from Naruto.

Road to Ninja is different from other Naruto movies because the story line does not stray far away from the original conflict of the series. Rather it dissects a big 'What if?' question that is in fact at the back of every Naruto fan's mind. Unlike other movies that are irrelevant and have no connection with what is happening in the manga and/or anime plot. This one, weaves right into one of the strongest (in my opinion-at least) side stories of the series.
Sweet setup!  Only 30 seats! :D
This is a movie you should definitely see- it directly plays on the emotions of the viewers, I was laughing so hard and crying so much since the movie literally takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

The term 'iyak-tawa' was the perfect way to describe how I was during the course of the movie.  By the end of the movie my stomach hurt so much from laughing and my eyes stung from all the tears I shed. (No Kidding! I'm a big cry baby!-Leave the eyeliner and mascara at home!) and my heart was just about to explode with all the overwhelming emotions. Anyone would be able to relate to a degree, you don't have to be a ninja to feel a little pinch in your heart.

We were very lucky that the 4th and the 5th Hokages were in attendance to watch the private screening.

Freebies! Thanks Movie Punch! Tsunade and Minato get free Naruto shirts from Sir Sam of Movie Punch.

Hmmm..what Jutsu is that?!?!

Attendees of the special advanced screening.

Make sure to catch the movie in theaters, it is definitely a lot better than settling for a crappy download with bad subtitles and watching it from your 15 inch computer monitor. Not to mention having to deal with download and/or buffer issues. Getting to watch it with your friends is also another treat you won't be able to enjoy in front of your computer screen. Laughing out loud to many of the movies comedic scenes (and trust me-there are a lot!) with friends is a priceless experience. Even if we were just less than 30 in the cinema, it was like a whole movie house was roaring with laughter with all the crazy antics from the movie.

Make sure to catch the movie! Minato and Tsunade give it -two thumbs up!
Make sure to support the movie in theaters so we can see more Anime Movies being screened in local cinemas. Keep in mind that One Piece and Hunter X Hunter (and even Dragon Ball Z are just around the corner!)

If this is the first bout of Anime movies that are coming it's way then I can definitely say that there will be more!

Naruto the Movie Road to Ninja is showing exclusively in SM Cinemas starting April 9, 2013 and is brought to you by Movie Punch.

    1. I remember watching Yuyu Hakausho in the cinemas, it was dubbed in Tagalog. I was in Grade 5 then. I'm married now and my love for anime has just grown through the years. :)
