The Barden Bellas have a lot to smile about- in an unprecedented feat a sequel to a Musical/Comedy smashes box office records to earn P200-Million and become the biggest Musical/Comedy in the Philippines!
It's rare for a sequel to do so good in the box office and with critics but Pitch Perfect 2's unique humor and unbelievable performances have done just that. As of June 2, 2015 Pitch Perfect 2 has become the highest grossing live action musical / comedy in the Philippines.
The movie opened in May 13 and was the number 1 film at the box office for two weeks in a row- an achievement unheard of for a live action musical / comedy.
Pitch Perfect 2 is also the first time, actress Elizabeth Banks will be sitting on the director's chair and her hard work (as well as with the rest of the cast and crew) has also rewarded the movie with yet another acclaim- the second highest opening for a film by a female director in the US.
Pitch 2 has already grossed a whopping $147.5 M in America from a modest $29 M budget.
