Lifestyle: DC Super Heroes Cafe

Themed cafes and restaurants seem to be a thing nowadays but there is definitely one that  takes the Kyrptonite inspired cake -and its the newly opened DC Super Heroes Cafe!
Finally had the time to visit one Thursday morning after shift.
Since the mall just opened (its located on the 4th floor of the SM Fashion Hall) we were the first customers there. We sent word in advance that we would be taking photos and told the staff when we got there as well and they just let Paul shoot away, while I took videos for my Instagram stories.
There's really a lot to see and geek over. The ambiance and design of the restaurant is just top notch! From the super hero themed murals, stained glass windows, life sized statues to the many drool inducing merchandise (some for sale). Even the comfort room is IG stories worthy, from its wall to wall covered murals of villains like the Joker and Poison Ivy.
So this is what Paul and I ordered:

The Belly Buster (P380.00)

Inspired by the big belly, one of the biggest fast food chains in the DC Universe. The fastfood establishment has appeared in numerous comic book titles and stories.
The burger comes with thick fries and is served with two kinds of dips. Paul is a big burger person and while I thought that the burger looked smaller in reality than in the picture, Paul said it was heavy and gave it a thumbs up.

Baked Pepperoni Ziti (P380.00) -which is inspired from The Flash

I'm a pizza and pasta girl and their baked ziti was just so flavorful and surprisingly also very heavy. Now if you know me, you would know I'm a very picky eater so I didn't mind the jalapenos and the pureed capers-which Paul gladly took off my plate and he liked them very much. (Another reason why Paul and I make such a good team :P)

Deep Cacao Milk Chocolate Smoothie (P190.00)

Feel the brooding mystery of Gotham City, a rich milk and chocolate smoothie with fresh cacao and deep dark chocolate topped with our signature whipped cream.

We really liked this drink, I didn't know that it had pearls though, and being the picky eater that I am, didn't care for those either but other than that. I would definitely order this again and I think its one of their best sellers since I saw a lot of orders on the counter.

I would probably try one of their iced teas or juices next time. Paul didn't really feel like having a smoothie and I didn't let him have a cocktail, so he just stuck with water. (maybe next time, Mamoy :P)

The place was quickly filled with customers, a section was even reserved for a children's party. So yes, if your kid is a big DC fan (and if you have the budget) this would definitely be a memorable place for a birthday party.

Customers came in all ages, shapes and sizes. Older gentlemen in a meeting, kids with their parents, and the curious middle aged ladies who were also taking a lot of instagrammable pictures (I guess I would fall in that category?)

Even if Paul and I were the first customers there and we had the place to ourselves for some time, we weren't able to fully explore the place :( and pretty soon it was already filled with customers (it got busy very fast) and its not like you can ask the lady sitting by the Wonder Woman mural to move so you can take a picture right?

DC Super Heroes Cafe was a great restaurant themed experience. Its a must visit if you are a DC fan, especially since there are a lot of small Easter eggs scattered throughout the restaurant, which you will just point at and be thrilled you were able to recognize it.

Its an ideal place for a date, especially if you are both geeks. Its also a great place to hang out with friends after walking around the mall.

Lifestyle: SM Angono Food Crawl

Long overdue post. Sorry. We've been really busy. "Secrets" concert, Rogue One week and of course the big baby surprise! You know in hindsight I think I was already pregnant when we had this food crawl in SM Angono. So I wouldn't be surprised if I start craving for some of these awesome dishes!

Here goes!

Whenever you go to the mall, you already have a ready set of places to go to eat. Whenever you want chicken  you can either go to these places, places which have stores in all malls, all across the Metro. I guess we can't help it, we just got used to having these choices that we fail to become a little adventurous and try something new. Which is why I am grateful for this food crawl because we got to discover new and exciting restaurants and of course got to try delicious new dishes as well!

Another great plus is that you also get to support the small local businesses and I'm always more than happy to do that.

First Stop: Mojo Frites

Reinventing fries as we know it, Mojo Frites Authentic Belgian Fries will rock your world.

As its owner Carlo has said, in the Philippines we are used to having soggy thin fries seasoned with salt or powdered flavors but that is not how 'French fries' were originally meant to be enjoyed as thick pieces of fried potatoes dipped in savory sauces. :)

Speaking of original, contrary to popular belief, 'french fries' did not originally come from France but from Belgium, where in the 1960's villagers have been known to fry fries. Soldiers simply called it "french fries" because of the language that was used in the region.

The fries are made to order, which means no risk of eating soggy fries!

I really loved the Poutine, I think its my favorite! (I feel a craving coming in) it's fries covered in a special gravy, cheese, bacon bits and chives. (Mmmmmm!) Definitely coming back for that. We didn't get to try the Shiznel burger - will definitely order that, the next time.

There are over 11 different sauces to try! Now, while I may not be a big fan of sauces (Paul is) it was still fun to experiment and try out each one!

Aside from the awesome booth, the ambiance was nice and cozy at Belgian Frites with beautiful photos and personal messages from customers as to how awesome Mojo Frites (pronounced as mo-jo freet) was.

Next stop was Cusina - which had a nice canteen feel to it and served authentic Filipino dishes at affordable prices!

Because you know sometimes you get tired of the usual fast good menus and just crave for some good old Pinoy home cooking and if ever you have any of those you can just head over to "Cusina".

For someone who grew up with my relatives sending over/fighting over authentic "laing" from Bicol, its refreshing to get to taste something full of memories and I got that with Cusina.

Paul really liked their 'kilawin" too! Now you don't have to pester relatives to cook for you when you are looking for that special Pinoy flavor-since there is Cusina now for that!

For the past few years, "ramen" has become very popular, especially during the cold and rainy seasons. Now most of the popular Ramen houses are in the Metro but its good to know that there is an a ramen house nearby which can give you that authentic Japanese feel and food that you are looking for!

Welcome to Kasumi's Cocoro (Heart of Katsumi) whose impressive and authentic interior will give you that unique Japanese feel once you step inside the restaurant and you haven't even tried the food yet! From the warm Japanese tea served in cups to the delicious ramen and huge tempura! :D

Everything is worth trying and taking photos of and posting on Instagram for your #foodporn posts.

The perfect way to end the food crawl was of course 'Mystical Cakes' which served delicious premium cakes! Like chocolate to die for! I kid you not! I simply cannot wait for a family member to have a birthday so we can have them try the premium chocolate cake-which is just heavenly. :)

So needless to say, it was a truly satisfying food crawl experience, maybe next time we should fast first. We were definitely in a food coma after.

Thank you to SM City Angono for having us and to all the resturants! It was definitely a delightful experience.

#FreeTheJoy with Limited Edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Christmas Flavors

Nothing says joy more than a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk and I should know because we had so much fun the last time we got to try these exclusive and exciting flavors from Cadbury and I'm just glad that they're back - in time for Christmas!

Of course during "the most wonderful time of the year" 🎢🎀 (yes, you must sing it) it is also the season of giving and sharing, which is why I already have an idea which of my favorite people I'll be sharing these exclusive Cadbury Dairy Milk variants with!

The husband!

Of course, the husband gets dibs and "Black Forest" is the perfect chocolate for him! He is a big fan of the flavor and is more adventurous when it comes to food compared to me, which is why he will surely enjoy the red jellies and real chocolate cookies embedded in tasty Cadbury Dairy Milk is perfect for him!

He's always taking note of food textures and what not and he will surely be satisfied with the surprises in Cadbury Dairy Milk's Black Forest. It's going to be an exciting crunch and chewy treat.
You see? We LOVE Cadbury! And yes, the husband is a bit of a chocolate monster. He will finish one bar after another!

Even if I'm married, my first love will always be my family and which is why I'll definitely share Cadbury Dairy Milk's French Vanilla with them. I got to try it before and I know that they will just love it! The goodness of vanilla inside Cadbury Dairy Milk cannot go wrong! It's soft, creamy and just to die for!

I instantly thought of my family for the French Vanilla variant because, well, we're all fair like Vanilla. Also, my mom is big fan of French culture, one of her favorite memories was probably her trip to Europe. She has a photo near the Eiffel tower and everything!  so I definitely thought of her with the sophisticated French Vanilla flavor.

I spend my every weekday and work day with them so definitely the team gets to experience Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Mousse!

Chocolate Mousse is a fun dessert, which is why I immediately thought of these guys, who always bring the fun at work. We may not always agree on things or see eye-to-eye with work decisions but one thing we can all agree on is - FOOD! And doesn't sharing make chocolate taste better?

Light and delectable chocolate mousse inside Cadbury is a must!

  • “Cadbury Dairy Milk Black Forest, Cadbury Dairy Milk French Vanilla, and Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Mousse are available in 180g packs for a suggested retail price of P180.00. Hurry and get all flavors – available until supplies last! #FreeTheJoy this Christmas with Cadbury Dairy Milk! “

I'll definitely keep an eye out for these when they hit the stores! 🍫

Tip. They are also an ideal Christmas treat for you and your loved ones! πŸŽ„πŸŽ

Lifestyle: A revamped Satchmi has a Bigger Space and Comfort Food!

It all started with the love for the good old days-which later grew into a special nook, much like Ariel's cavern, holding countless wonders from records to film photography, beautiful pens to go with exquisite paper. Small potted plants and yes, even cozy socks.

Known for their good music and rich coffee the Satchmi Store has long been part of Metro lists and spots for places to visit and to hangout in (the fast wifi is definitely a plus).

Of course a premiere hang out place would soon be in need of food to sustain its loyal patrons.

Boasting of a wide array of scrumptious food for you to discover, Satchmi has also literally and physically grown, expanding in size to cater to the curious and the many music lovers such as myself, who spend hours among their beautiful displays and vintage items.

The larger space will also prove beneficial during events, which, if the past was any indication has always brought large crowds of audiences hungry for good local music.

Speaking of hungry- we were fortunate enough to have been able to try their new menu during their launch yesterday (July 12, 2016) and their unique and distinct image translates to their new comfort food as well.

With the help of Chef Him Uy de Baron and Chef JJ Yulo, Satchmi meets the world of gastronomy and finally included homemade food to their menu that include tasty sandwiches, from a Satchmi BLT to the favorite Reuben Sandwich; hearty soups like the Lasagna Soup, and Cheesesteak Soup; yummy bruschettas like the Satchmi Capreese, as well as the Avocado with Salmon Toast: and of course, these are best paired with the best cups of coffee by the friendly baristas.

In case you haven't seen it yet, Satchmi has also curated a line of film cameras, films and accessories under Film Folk (@filmfolk_ on Instagram). Coffee equipment, CDs from Satchmi's favorite local artists, more art and music paraphernalias are also available at the store.

Truly, these "Curators of Functional Luxuries" are making their mark and bringing a taste of the good old days in this fast-paced digital world. With this new milestone in their growing foothold they really do bring good food for your tummy and good music for your soul.

The newly expanded Satchmi Store will be open to the public on July 14, 2016.

FOOD: Greenwich-SM Angono Pizza Party!

Pizza and Pasta have always been on my all-time-favorite foods-ever and Greenwich has always been a go-to source when the craving sets in. I love their Lasagna so much that Paul would complain whenever we go on consecutive Greenwich visits. He becomes very much willing to go, though when we are at SM Megamall, where the Greenwich branch serves beer, so go figure.

Angono Mayor Gerardo Calderon and Vice Mayor Antonio Rubin at the Pizza Party along with the Management of Greenwich and SM Angono.

Beer or no beer, I'm just happy that there's a new Greenwich around our area and that's the one in SM Angono. I also love that it follows their new brick walled Art Deco inspired hip interior design. So just imagine the joy of the little pizza lover in me when we were invited for their first ever Pizza Party! :)

In attendance were Mayor Gerlado Calderon and Vice Mayor Antonio Rubin as well as local residents and folks from the school districts and local media. We were served their tasty signature pizza dishes, wacky wings, as well as their new summer drink- Pineapple slush :) I also got to try their new cheesy bread sticks. They're pretty good with the tomato dip that goes with it ^_^

Probably the highlight of the pizza party was the pizza eating contest (which Paul got to participate in) :p Winners were awarded with Free Pizza for a year cards! We were also seranaded with an acoustic performance as we got to stuff ourself with Greenwich goodies, not bad for a Saturday night eh? :)

FOOD: Breakfast Made Better with Chowking

Ask anyone and they will tell you, I will jump at a chance for some Pork Chao Fan or Lomi from Chowking-anytime! It's one of my go-to fast food restaurants and with our hectic schedule of graveyard shifts, events and shoots, a 24 hour comfort food is always welcome.

I actually have a particular Chowking store that's close to my heart and that's the one at J. Vargas along C-5. I used to work at Transcom (2008-2011) and that meant walking all the way to Chowking just for a quick satisfying chow. :)

Even my post-Transcom days still had me visiting this branch every once in a while, especially when Paul and I would come from late night gigs. :) I was a bit worried when we passed by and saw that it seemed to be closed, thank goodness it was just being renovated!

So I was really happy when I was invited for the Media Launch of Chowking's Breakfast Meals! :)

Chowking has whipped up a filling and delicious selection of breakfast offerings. The Chowking Breakfast Chao Fan line, which consists of Pork Chao Fan with Egg and Pork Chao Fan with Siomai & Egg, tops the list of must-try dishes, with its meaty and flavor-heavy Chao Fan and Pork Siomai. The Chinese Pork Longganisa, the brand’s newest breakfast meal, gives each guest a taste of an authentic Taiwanese sausage. Chowking also offers other classic breakfast favorites such as Beef Tapa, Pork Tocino, and their King’s Special, a breakfast meal truly fit for a king with its satisfying servings of Beef Tapa, Chinese Pork Longganisa, Fried Rice and Fried Egg.

My favorite is the Chinese Pork Longganisa :)

Just so you know, the breakfast meals are available from 11:00PM-11:00AM.

Guests may also enjoy the well-loved and flavourful Chinese-Style Fried Chicken, the meaty, steaming hot Meaty Wonton Mami, and the perfect grab-and-go meal, Chunky Asado Siopao. And these products don’t come with a hefty price tag - guests can enjoy a Chowking breakfast meal for as low as P55 (Pork Chao Fan with Egg)! Chowking continues to give its diners value-for money offerings with its breakfast line that are always hot, fresh, filling and delicious.

“Chowking is excited to serve classic favorite dishes every morning to keep our customers fueled throughout the day. As we commit to offer them value-for-money dishes that are filling and delicious, we also commit to continuously give them delightful reasons to rise and shine, and head to their favorite Chowking store everyday,” Chowking is proud to have grown to 439 stores nationwide, with over 300 stores offering its breakfast line every day.

DREAMLAND Arts and Cafe

A few hours before our trip to Canyon Cove I was going through Facebook (as I seem to always be doing) when I saw a post from a friend about their stop at Dreamland Arts and Cafe in Tagaytay.

Our trip also included a few stops in Tagaytay before heading to Canyon Cove so I did a little research and decided to pitch the idea to my group and they were all aboard!

It's a good thing that the cafe is open 24/7 since we left Manila at around 5AM, to arrive a few minutes before 8:00 AM. We were only using Waze to help us navigate to get to the cafe, I honestly thought it was inside some subdivision but it's a good thing that the cafe was just along the main road and with the bright yellow Volkswagen bus, it's not hard to miss.

The cafe is small but comfy and charming with dreamcatchers and a host of varied decorations, trinkets, photos and art scattered across the cafe. The lack of a real motif seems to be what makes the place all the more charming and while there is no obvious pattern it seems to have a free-spirited indie feel to it. Because we came too early, the main meals were not yet available, so we settled into having drinks, some of us choosing coffee or tea.

Dreamland prides itself as to having not providing Wifi for its patrons, preferring that they interact with each other, instead of staying glued on their phones. Now, for someone like me, who is dependent on social media (I do have some sort of work with the blog and all, you know) I find the idea of a no wifi zone, refreshing every once in a while-believe it or not.

In lieu of wifi, the cafe offers a wide range of other activities, such as reading books, playing board games and even creating art! You can donate art materials to the cafe and if you have some extra colored pencils or crayons lying around the house, I suggest that you bring them along to donate to the cafe, it will surely do good in the hands of aspiring artists :p

We had a good time at the cafe, albeit it was a short one as we had an itinerary to stick to. I would definitely come back here, might bring the whole fam-bam, where the pamangkins can play board games or do some crafting :) I will also surely try the food in their menu :)

Dreamland Cafe also has it's own unique brand, Indie Green Culture @indiegreenculture which creates unique handmade goods and allows you to bring a piece of that indie and hippie vibe back with you. From bags, headpieces, jewelry and dreamcatchers, you will surely find a piece for you!

Just so you won't be confused Dreamland Cafe has a branch both in Tagaytay and Lipa. We haven't been to the Lipa branch yet but might check it out, in case we end up there :p

Foodpanda: Making Food Delivery Easier

Sometimes we have fully booked weekends of gigs and events that Paul and I don't mind staying home for the weekend. When we stay home for the weekends I usually write for the blog while Paul works on photos. Aside from that we watch a lot of TV.

You have to admit that one of the best things about staying at home is getting to let your hair down (so to speak) wear pajamas, a comfortable shirt and go around in slippers. The only thing missing-Food!!!

Of course sometimes staying at home you would be too lazy to do anything and that includes cooking and the solution to that? FOOD DELIVERY! Paul and I often have pizza delivered. Aside from just having food delivered when you are lazy here are the Top 5 Occasions that call for Food Delivery!

  1. HUNGER -pretty obvious.
  2. Surprise Guests - you never know when friends would suddenly drop by and its not always that they bring food or you have something to serve them with.
  3. Food Shortage - sometimes opening the ref to find it empty is not always a bad thing; its also the perfect excuse for you to have food delivered. :)
  4. Home Celebrations - Birthdays and celebrations do not always mean that the traditional Filipino style spaghetti is on the menu. You can be adventurous and try something new by having it delivered to your home!
  5. TV/ Movie Marathon - as you can see from the photo above, the recent Walking Dead Marathon and Season 6 Premiere called for a pizza!

Foodpanda is a great app that makes having food delivered to your home so much easier! From your location a number of restaurants that offer home delivery is made available to you. You can easily order, place payment safely by choosing your own preferred payment method. You can also give your own rating for the service. The Customer Service at Foodpanda is fast and makes things more convenient.  Another great thing about Foodpanda are the vouchers that allow you to save on your orders! :)

So see - staying at home is not so bad at all and its not like you need any more occasions to have food delivered - you just do! And with the foodpanda app - it just makes it easier and more exciting! No more waiting on the phone in long queues, everything is done with just clicking on your smart phone.

"Tara Kain Tayo" - Made Easier with OpenSnap

Bobby Box in Eastwood Libis (where I work) is a great place to eat for us who work the night shift. They open early (7AM) which is perfect since we get off work at 8AM. The interior is really pretty with brick walls, colorful Bobby Box art on the wall, wood paneled ceilings and even K-Pop music videos playing on a white screen for that contemporary Korean feel.

Their meals (rice box meals) range from P109.00-P159.00 add about P20.00+ for drinks. Paul is happy that they have beer available. San Mig Light for P55.00 is a great deal! Sometimes we get funny looks when we're ordering beer at 8:00AM but remember since we work the night shift this is our 8:00PM so to speak.
Bulgogi Box (Spicy) at P159.00

You can't imagine how much trouble we have when we try to look for a place to eat with our nocturnal schedule. Sometimes my office mates and I would go through hours of arguments of where to eat but thanks to OpenSnap "Tara Kain Tayo" would be so much easier.

Through OpenSnap you can search for restaurants to try out, you can search through key words like what kind of food you are looking for (pasta, burger, Japanese) or by location. You can also just search for the restaurant you are looking for.

OpenSnap is a perfect app for Foodies aside from discovering great new food finds it also serves as a platform for you to post and share your #foodporn photos! You can also review establishments you've visited to help friends decide whether this place is their next food trip. You can also search for newly opened restaurants in your area as well as what the Editor's picks and recommendations are. For us night owls there is a whole section for which establishments are open 24 Hours!

It's an easy app to use and navigate through - no more arguing where to eat with OpenSnap  Tara! Kain tayo!

For more restaurants and food finds, download OpenSnap app from App Store or Google Play.

No Limit with Inipit!

I have fond memories of the favorite snacks I used to bring to school as 'baon', one of them was the chocolate Inipit that I used to put in the refrigerator (sometimes) even the freezer because I prefer to eat it as a cold or frozen treat. I don't know how I came about doing that I guess it's just one of those weird things you did as kids and fondly look back on.

I realized that even as you grow older you can still enjoy your childhood favorite snacks but with an elevated twist which is what we did with our Peanut Butter Cream Inipit!

Even if I don't eat peanuts, I love anything peanut butter flavored, don't ask me how can that be, it just is, even Paul doesn't get it. Anyways, let me share with you this simple recipe you can do to elevate that Inipit experience.

Ingredients:
Chocolate Inipit (cut in two or three pieces)
Peanut Butter
Butter
Cream
Confectioner's Sugar
Reese's Chocolate (optional)

Just mix all the ingredients (except for the Inipit and Reese) in a bowl. You will have to estimate how much of each ingredient you will be using. It would also depend on how many Inipit pieces you will be using. Your Peanut Butter cream (icing) will be creamy after you are satisfied with it's taste. You can easily place it in a plastic (the kind that's used in iced candy or ice). Push the cream all the way to the end of the plastic, cut a small hole and push the icing on the Inipit cake. You can be creative and put different designs on your Inipit cake. Add pieces of the Reese chocolate on top, you can also sprinkle some confectioner's sugar on top.

Sobrang masarap maging kid with Inipit and now that I'm not a kid per say I'm just happy that I can still enjoy a childhood favorite and share it with my nieces and nephews! :)

You can try it out too!

Merry My Great Food In 15 Seconds: Coffee Cream Brownies

So Paul and I worked on a different kind of project this long weekend (it was a long weekend for us since it was President's Day in the US) and we'd love to share it with you guys! :)

People know us as the too lazy to cook couple I'm famous for only knowing how to cook anything fried. So we're really excited to share this simple project that we did - and you can too! :)

It's a simple recipe for Coffee Cream Brownies and what I love about it is that you don't really have to go out of your way to make your brownies a little special - all you need is some coffee, all purpose cream and chocolate chips (buttons in this case) and viola! You have Coffee Cream Brownies!

It's so easy and simple just check out the 15 second video!

COFFEE CREAM BROWNIES

Magnolia Fudge Brownies
Magnolia All Purpose Cream
San Miguel Original Coffee
Chocolate Chips
Egg
Butter

Bake Magnolia Fudge Brownies (just follow the instructions behind the box).
Mix the San Miguel Coffee and Magnolia All Purpose Cream (use about half of the cream, you can use two satches of San Miguel Coffee).
Melt butter in a pan and melt the chocolate chips in the pan.
When the brownies have cooled, place the coffee cream and the chocolate.
You can place in the fridge so that it will set.
Slice and enjoy!

Hokkaido Santouka

Because reunions with good old friends over Ramen is always a good idea - especially when you both share the same love for the Japanese culture :)

Which is how we found ourselves at Hokkaido Santouka (at the Old Promenade in Greenhills) for lunch with my best friend from Grade School :)

She was the one who recommended Hokkaido Santouka so instant plus points right there.

Unlike other Ramen Houses where there are panels to separate the customers and offer a more private dining experience, Hokkaido Santouka had a more open ambiance to it (for their Greenhills branch at least). It was rather irregularly shaped for a restaurant, having a more alley way like entry but there was a bigger space at the back. There were even those vendos with the toys in what seem like Poke-balls in them - adding to the Japanese theme of the restaurant :)

We loved that the menus had Set Meals (like the ones in the photos - it's a set meal) complete with a Matcha flavored cupcake which Paul just shoved in his mouth in one gulp.

We had one of their set meals (which range at around P470.00-P500.00+)

Our Set Meal included:

Small Ramen and you get to choose what flavor - we had the Shio Ramen (Salt Flavored) It's just weird that there was a date in there, Fried Salmon and Prawn and Small Rice Bowl. There were also some vegetables, a small portion of salad, warm tea and the cute Matcha flavored cupcake.

Mixed Fruits with Purin
Dessert was Mixed Fruits with Purin (P170.00) which my best friend Greta and Paul shared  You will recall that I'm not really a big fan of fruits and that dessert to me is only chocolate or cake :P

Cool and Chilled Iced Tea - Sailor Moon approves.

The Iced Tea was in a really cool presentation with blended/ literally iced tea on top :P

It was just disappointing that their local beer was priced at P150.00 a bottle - I mean seriously -  it's local beer - we know the suggested retail price. Their Shin-Aji Ramen (P320.00) looks interesting it's cold noodle with hot dipping sauce. Might try that next time :)

Their ramen or at least the Shio Ramen we had was good :P Might try a whole ramen bowl the next time so we can fully explore the taste - like I said earlier the date in their was weird though :P
