Music + Events: Trenta Guitar at SM City Masinag

Had to do a double take when I saw the headline of this Press Release, mostly because Paul played in a Trenta Guitara group, which is an annual gathering of musicians who get together during the Holy Week to serve during the Easter Vigil at the Parish of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Antipolo.

Before picking up the camera and pursuing photography, Paul used to play the guitar. He has a good singing voice also, one of my fondest memories is when he played Lisa Loeb songs and sang to me (*Kilig*) -ahem. Going back to the Trenta Guitara exhibit...

Alongside SM Supermalls celebration of its 30th Anniversary, SM City Masinag showcases 30 iconic guitars at its mall atrium.

Honestly, I'm really happy that despite the hiatus the band is still very active, albeit in non-traditional avenues, hence the DVD launch and the custom guitar. Paul has put his axe-wielding days behind him in favor of being behind the camera, but we'll definitely get a copy of the DVD one of these days.
