Quezon City -Philippines-

Get ready to punch, slash, shoot and cast your way through the newest revolution in massive multiplayer online gaming.

Straight from South Korea-based I.O. Entertainment and GameClub Philippines comes fighting game "Lost Saga", the latest in online brawling goodness.

Lost Saga pits individuals or teams against others in an all-out melee for dominance in a variety of game modes: eliminate the competition in Death Match mode, Team Death Match mode, Prisoner mode, or Crusader mode.

Play with any of the game'is ever expanding pool of character classes, each with heir own strengths and weaknesses, equip your choice of items, and form your team. Smash through the competition for experience points and currency to unlock and upgrade even more goodness!

"This game is a wonderful sandbox of possibilities: there are more characters that will be steadily included in the near future, more stages, more game modes. And even now, there is a lot of space coming up with strategies, whether in coming up with a personal item and skill combination that best suits your play style, and much more," said Marc Angelo Bulosan of GameClub Philippines.

The game's many combinations of modes, stages and classes also allow numerous possibilities for competitive play; already, the development team is working at fostering an environment that accommodates both casual and competitive gamers.

"We're pretty confident that this game will bring out the more competitive side of skilled players looking for a really interesting challenge. We hope to see what exciting combinations and compositions they come up with in the future!" Bulosan said.

Events: Cologram at SM Masinag

Who says the rainy season is always gloomy?

Color's don't only fit summer, rainy days can surely be filled with colors too!

The triangles #Colorgram at SM City Masinag displays a colorful pop-up exhibit themed for the rainy season. Brightly colored areas in the exhibit, which are Instragrammable (very important!) include a Cloud Wall, Swing Wall (my favorite) Umbrella and Rainbow areas, colorful pyramid blocks and a larger-than-life Jenga-like area. Also displayed hanging across the mall atrium are rows of colorful umbrellas.

Along with the Instagrammable areas of the Colorgram set up are pocket events, "Paint that FUNBrella", "Mural, Mural on the Wall" and "QRolorful Codes", which not only call on shoppers to come and participate in but could also let them win prizes from SM City Masinag! Shoppers can use the official hashtag #DaviesColorsSMMasinag in posting on their social media.

The Triangles #Colorgram at SM City Masinag runs from August 10-18, 2018. It is also made possible, through the partnership with Davies Paints.

Events: Disney Life Launch

Launch of Disney Life at the Glorietta Activity Center

I'm one of those kids who literally grew up with Disney movies. I remember my preschool teachers admiring my "Beauty and the Beast" monologues, I "performed" scenes from  the movie because I had memorized all the lines and the songs, from watching it again and again on VHS tape. I remember dancing to the music of "The Little Mermaid" with my cousins, from a cassette tape which we played over and over again. And I think that there's an embarrassing memory of performing songs from "Aladdin"  with my neighborhood friends. So 'yes' in short I had the Disney childhood and as an adult I guess I'm just so lucky that Disney has also 'grown' with me, it has amassed popular properties and has continued to spread its Disney magic so that those of us who grew up with it can enjoy the classics and future generations can fall in love with them as well. Of course its a bonus that so many can also enjoy the new material they are coming out with as well.

And now to make it even easier to access these, Disney and Globe have joined together to bring all the Disney content we can enjoy in one magic app!

You can read more on the launch of Disney Life below! :)

Photography: Baptism: Ser Jacob

For some reason, I stopped blogging about the different event coverages and photo shoots that we (or Paul rather) does. Not that it was planned or anything, things just got busy (most probably) and while, we have been blessed with a number of commissions for the past few weeks, I realized that I should also get back to writing about them. So here I am!

First, we have Ser Jacob's Christening; I'm not sure if his full name is a shout out to how
George R.R. Martin wrote the "Game of Thrones" books, as someone who has read the books, I know that 'Ser' is how the knights were addressed in the book~if that is the case then creativity points go to his parents!

I wasn't so sure about what to write about the event, given that I wasn't even there but as I was looking through the photos, I realized how as a parent (naks!) time is indeed a fleeting moment. Just earlier we were  buying clothes for Luke and I realized that before we used to buy small newborn clothes for him and now we're buying clothes for 9-12 months! (huhuhu)

I suddenly missed how small Luke was before, he's big now and wrestles his poor mom. Have you seen his legs?! Just one leg drop will make you catch your breath! He also has this habit of throwing his full weight on you and just landing on you-completely taking the breath out of you (and not in the good way).

So yes moms and dads, hold your little ones tighter and longer, smell their baby smell and treasure it. Make sure to celebrate the little things as well (includes Baptism) and always make sure to have beautiful photos taken to capture these moments~that will be over before you know it!

Well what do you know, my sentimental side got the best of me (as it always does) and I was able to reflect and write about an important reminder from Ser Jacob's lovely baptism photos! Thank you Mommy and Daddy for trusting us and here's to more and more happy memories!

Netflix News: Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant Thrilled During Manila Visit

Drew Barrymore and Tim Olyphant wave at fans during the Red Carpet Event of Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet.

In town to promote Season 2 of Netflix's horror comedy "Santa Clarita Diet" Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant were met by eager fans who met the actors on the red carpet event last March 12, 2018 at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall.

The two surprisingly felt at home surrounded by a sea of screaming fans as they talked about their first trip to the Philippines, surprisingly the Netflix event not being the first time. Barrymore was in the country a few years back for her company "Flower Beauty", while  Olyphant once lived in Davao when he was younger, his father worked with Del Monte. He added that his great grandfather was an engineer in the University of the Philippines, much to the amusement of the audience.

Bird's eye - View from above of eager fans waiting for Barrymore and Olyphant.

Drew and Tim signed memorabilia for fans and took selfies with them, before answering some questions about the series, which will be available for streaming on March 23 on Netflix. The Red Carpet event was followed by a premiere of episode 1 of the new season. Thoughts and review on that will be posted soon :)

One of the things that I loved about the first season was the strong relationship of Sheila and Joel, whom Barrymore and Olyphant play in the series. The husband and wife, who live a normal suburban life as realtors in sunny Santa Clarita suddenly have everything turned upside down when Sheila becomes the undead and suddenly has a craving for human flesh! Joel, who because of his love and devotion for his wife, helps her with her new lifestyle, despite the challenges that come along the way. It was nice to see the comedic tandem and undeniable chemistry of the two leads in person as they each gushed about how it was a pleasure to work opposite each other.

Before wrapping up the press con, they were served with dirty ice cream ala Santa Clarita style, blood red, with red syrup and topped with an eyeball and a thumb! :P

It was an incredible experience for us to see them in person-we're fans. You can click here to read more on me gushing about Drew Barrymore as well as see the trailer for Season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet.

Events: Things Heat Up for "Asia Pop Comicon" + Day 1 + Photos

Join the dark side. A cute little trooper gets a special invite.

It's 3:00 in the morning. I got out of bed after being awake from more than 24 hours. I only need about 5 hours of sleep and I'm good to go but aside from feeling the body ache, which is still there, I'm just bursting with excitement. Day 1 of the biggest  pop culture event in Asia ended a few hours ago and while there were so many things to see and do I am overwhelmed with anticipation with what is to take place a few hours from now.

But before I get carried away (yet again) let's take a look at what we saw during Day 1 + Photos!

We could not get over this cute little storm trooper when he saw the his heroes from the Philippine Garrison. The Philippine Garrison is a unit of the 501st Legion, which is an international organization of Star Wars fans, dedicated to wearing the costumes of characters from the Star Wars franchise. The 501st is devoted to raising funds for children's charities all over the world.

The little guy needed some coaching to join "the dark side" as he posed with the different villains from Star Wars. He was shy at first but eventually overcame his fear to join guys in, bigger versions of his costume. Perks of being one of the few kid cosplayers on the first day.

American comic book illustrator Mike Zeck, meets Filipino fans. His work includes Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars in 1984 and his design for a black and white Spider-Man costume eventually led to the creation of the villain Venom.

Zeck has been coming to the Philippines since 1991, he said that he loves the beaches and the people. Just remove some cars on the road though, he added, during the Asia Pop Comicon press conference, which was held at the Conrad Hotel last Wednesday, August 24. Click here for photos and blog post on the Press Conference!

Fans have been anticipating to join the highly coveted "Hall M" which will feature never-before-seen footage outside of San Diego Comic Con of Marvel's upcoming "Doctor Strange" film. They will also showcase content from Marvel's television and web series. Hall M is limited to 1,000 attendees, which makes the tags highly valuable.

The first batch of fans, get their hands on the highly coveted "Hall M" passes.

We were really impressed with this White Walker cosplayer who got his make up done at the The Australian College of Hair and Design Manila, which is one of the exhibitors at APCC.

Paul also got to skate for a while, which was a treat since he used to skate back in the day.

There is definitely a lot of activities already going on for Day 1 of AsiaPop Comic con, Day 2 will definitely have more happening! Follow the page and our social media accounts for more updates!

BSC CSAW Family Day

Growing up, we've always had "family day" activities in school, they had different names - Felowship Day, School Fair, whatever it was called on paper, it had the same goal and objective - to build camaraderie. I have long since graduated and have left family day activities as memories in old photo albums but I never thought I would encounter it again, outside of school and in my adult life - I forgot how much fun it was.

In celebration of Customer Service Aprreciation Week or CSAW (pronounced as "see-saw" as we would fondly call it) -the culmination of a whole week of fun games and activities was a good old Family Day in a Carnival-Sportsfest fashion.

Set on a Saturday morning after work, colleagues and co-workers gathered in a covered court where colorful stalls offering free food and fun games with prizes awaited. Participants had their faces painted with colorful designs and the happy memories immortalized by going to the Photobooth.

It didn't take long for the program to start (complete the singing of the Philippine National anthem) and when it did everyone had a great time over classic parlor & relay games such as Maria Goes to Market Calamansi Relay and Sack Race among others. Did I mention that there also beautiful muses who strut their stuff and showcased their quick wit in a little surprise Question & Answer portion. While the parlor & relay games gave everyone the chance to play & participate, it was the Volleyball & Basketball games which the crowd looked forward to. Co-workers who were also athletes in their own right strapped in their gear and set off in heated battles.

I was never into sports - being a nerd & bookworm all my life. Needless to say I did not contribute anything to the Sports sections of the school newspapers I was a part of. So even if I had no interest in sports nor could I following the scoring or rules I still had fun watching & cheering on colleagues as they displayed their physical & athletic prowess.

There were beautiful babies and cute children which brought some extra joy to the already joy filled court. The kids had fun with the cotton candy, pop corn, carnival style games and of course - the face paint! It was nice to meet these cuties who my colleagues work so hard for, to be able to proved them with a beautiful future.

Winners and MVPs were awarded with medals and trophies while eager attendees won home appliances in an ever exciting raffle. I'm happy to say that I took home an oven toaster :)

It may not have been the usual family day with your immediate family, where the dad's were the ones who played Maria Goes to Market complete with a required shaking of the hips, while the moms nag for you to get something to eat but it was a different kind of family day, the kind you spend with your other family and that would be your family for work. :)
